Manufacturer-sponsored retailer-specific ads in SmartSource Magazine that feature reduced pricing are designed to increase market share, category share and brand sales. In exchange for sponsorship, manufacturers have increased leverage to negotiate for trade support such as guaranteed price points, more prominent in-store displays and larger features in retailer circulars. Price Feature Plus also expands retailer’s financial support as it generally taps into incremental marketing funds that are allocated for the account level.
